Do military wives have it the hardest? Happily I will be one soon, by Boyfriend, who is a second class now, just proposed last night. I said yes but i want to know what I am getting my self into, being his girlfriend has been hard enough, would being his wife cause twice as much problems for me?

Ughhh, so having my SO on duty once a week and sometimes twice a week must just be a taste for what it will be like when he is on deployment. I have his truck in my driveway, since I drove home from base last night, and he has a dead cell phone which is equal to him being at sea. So yeah a wonderful two days until he is off duty, I cant even talk to him. Is it really this different when they are on deployment? Hell, its hard on me since all my friends work full time and go to school full time and he is usually off by noon so I’m used to being with him every day and living on base. Only days I do come home are his duty days or when I know he will be at work till 1600.
I am actually surprised I don’t know how to keep myself busy. How do military wives or SOs handle this? Since he should be deployed again for a few months coming soon :(
Plus I still can't get through his think skull about the commitment thing since he still wants me living with him.
